CentOs in VMplayer

Centos 6.7,常见问题。

I was installing Centos 6.7 in VMware player, lots of library need to be installed at first. And many problems need to be dealt with. This post documents all the command I have used to deal with different situations

1 Install common library:

yum install -y gcc gdb strace gcc-c++ autoconf libjpeg libjpeg-devel libpng libpng-devel freetype freetype-devel libxml2 libxml2-devel zlib zlib-devel glibc glibc-devel glib2 glib2-devel bzip2 bzip2-devel ncurses ncurses-devel curl curl-devel e2fsprogs patch e2fsprogs-devel krb5-devel libidn libidn-devel openldap-devel nss_ldap openldap-clients openldap-servers libevent-devel libevent uuid-devel uuid mysql-devel epel-release

2  Upgrade gcc 4.7/4.8:

The default version of gcc installed is 4.4.7. If you want to

upgrade to gcc 4.7

sudo wget http://people.centos.org/tru/devtools-1.1/devtools-1.1.repo -P /etc/yum.repos.d$
sudo sh -c 'echo "enabled=1" >> /etc/yum.repos.d/devtools-1.1.repo'
sudo yum install devtoolset-1.1
scl enable devtoolset-1.1 bash
gcc --version

upgeade to gcc 4.8

rpm --import http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/cern/slc6X/x86_64/RPM-GPG-KEY-cern
wget -O /etc/yum.repos.d/slc6-devtoolset.repo http://linuxsoft.cern.ch/cern/devtoolset/slc6-devtoolset.repo
sudo yum install devtoolset-2
scl enable devtoolset-2 bash

3 install p4v (perfocr client)

tar xvfz p4v.tgz
cd p4v-2010.2.317255
sudo cp bin/* /usr/bin/
sudo cp -r lib/* /usr/lib/
